A peaceful walk through Kaohsiung’s temple-lined pond — complete with giant mouths, spiral towers, and a 10-second trip through the afterlife.
I went in with zero expectations (plus warnings that it was under renovation), and ended up walking through the Dragon’s mouth into a calm little heaven-hell tunnel. Yup. The Dragon Tiger Pagodas have reopened, and there’s more to this place than I thought.
🎡 What Stuck With Me:
✔️ Entering the Dragon’s mouth felt oddly spiritual — and hey, avoid the Tiger first for luck.
✔️ The heaven-and-hell tunnel? It’s a 10-second stroll — quirky and brief, but fun.
✔️ The twin pagodas offer a spiral climb with great views — simple but satisfying.
✔️ Didn’t expect to spot the Spring and Autumn Pavilions and the Xuanwu Dadi statue — both worth a glance.

🌟 Final Thoughts
It’s not a thrill ride, but it’s got low-key charm. A peaceful walk around the pond with some unexpected architectural gems — just bring water, and maybe go when the sun’s not out to kill you.
